The Amazigh writing system was used widely by speakers of the Berber languages throughout Africa and on the Canary Islands.
The oldest recorded dates back to the 3rdCentury.
The word Amazigh means “free people” in the indigenous Tamazight language. A beautiful message supported by the Berber flag which is adorned with the ‘Yaz’ symbol meaning “free man”.
This is a powerful message and one that I am privileged to learn more about day by day.
